Soul Journey Companions
a transformative journey in spiritual direction training
Soul Journey Companions is a three year program of training for those who sense that God is calling them to the work of spiritual direction, and are looking for a community where this vocation can be explored and nurtured.
During the first two years, students participate in monthly lectures, workshops, quadrads and seminars over two semesters each year. These amount to 8 Friday/Saturday workshops over the course of each year. The focus of these inputs will be on spirituality and spiritual direction plus regular worship drawing from various Christian traditions.
The third year is an intern year which is a supervised practicum with individual supervision and monthly group meetings.
An ongoing process of discernment over three years, to discern a call to the ministry of spiritual direction, is integral to the program.
The weekend intensive workshops are generally the Friday and Saturday of the 2nd week of the month.
The program is conducted at Holy Covenant Anglican Church Rainbow Centre, 89 Dexter St, Cook ACT.
This program will next run in 2019.
